voestalpine STAHL in Linz places new order for a bell-type furnace system

In summer 2024, voestalpine STAHL in Linz, Upper Austria, placed an order with EBNER Industrieofenbau for the delivery, turnkey installation and commissioning of another HICON/H₂® bell-type furnace system.

The new HICON/H₂® annealing bases will be equipped with the latest inert gas internal cooler technology. This ensures the highest throughput rates with the lowest specific energy and media consumption.

The new bell-type furnace will be used for the heat treatment of steel strip coils under 100% hydrogen for cold rolling mill 2.

The new system will be integrated into the fully automatic crane operation for the entire bell-type furnace system.
