Material selection: 

  • Individually adapted to meet customer needs, allowing specific material properties 
    to be targeted
  • Excellent resistance to corrosion caused by  moisture
  • Excellent resistance to deformation and  oxidation

Acceptance and Preparation:

  • Visual inspection
  • Checks of all stamps
  • Prevention of surface damage, ferrite deposits and high-temperature corrosion through application of protective film

Material storage:

  • High-quality material grades are stored separately
  • Nickel-based and CrNi alloyed material is stored separately from unalloyed sheet
  • Material is stored only on wooden or rubber-coated steel supports

Schutzhaubenfertigung

EBNER Industrieofenbau is certified according to ÖNORM EN ISO 3834-2 and thus fulfills the highest requirements for quality assurance in welding technology.

A variety of tests have been established for the welding procedures in use:

    • Optimization of parameters on trial pieces
    • Non-destructive testing (RT, PT, etc.)
    • Bend testing
    • Tensile strength testing
    • Metallographic sections

All welding parameters are permanently stored in the welding machines, ensuring that results are reproducible.

A unique Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) is employed for every combination of materials.

Welding parameters are tailored to each individual material, ensuring that both the base metal and the weld seam have the best possible properties.

The X-ray inspection is carried out in accordance with a detailed film position plan and is then professionally evaluated by trained EBNER personnel during the production process to ensure the highest quality and safety.
 
  • Creation of a checklist
  • VT (visual inspection)
  • Dimensions checked, including measurement of the wall thickness
  • PT (penetration testing) after torospherical head has been welded on
  • Vibration stress relief (VSR) of lower section of inner cover
  • Water pressure test (10.5 bar)
  • Compilation of an acceptance certificate as per EN 10204, 3.1, with lists of the tests that were carried out, the materials that were used, material certificates and the positive results from the x-ray testing
