Verena Ortner
Senior Manager Corporate Treasury
I have been working at EBNER since December 2020 and was in Corporate Treasury for three years. I have been head of this department since January 2024.
Describe your job in a single sentence:
Together with my team, I am responsible for treasury topics, such as financing, investments, foreign currency hedging and cash management, for our more than 40 Group companies and am involved in shaping the associated processes.
When you are on your way to work in the morning, what are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to motivated employees and to making a difference together.
What was the most interesting experience you have had at EBNER?
The business trip to Fort Wayne and Chicago, where we landed one of the biggest contracts in EBNER‘s history.
Everyone needs inspiration and motivation to get through the daily grind. What keeps you going?
Probably simply the challenge and at the same time the certainty that my contribution is important and appreciated.
What vision do you have for EBNER's future? From your point of view, what are the greatest challenges the company will have to face over the next few years?
My wish for the EBNER GROUP is that the synergy effects of the group contribute even more to success and thus strengthen sustainable, healthy growth.
The most important challenges are probably not specific to EBNER. We need to correctly assess and respond to global trends (sustainability, digitalization, (de)globalization, etc.) and attract the right team members in the highly competitive job market in the long term.
Do you have any special hobbies or interests?
I am a proud member of the music association, where I also work as treasurer. I also enjoy skiing and hiking in the mountains.
What advice would you give someone who wanted to apply for a job at EBNER?
Take on challenges, grow together and enjoy success together.
